1pt win Patontheback (82) – Eldrickjones (102) bounced back to winning form following a wind operation. Despite the decent rating it still was below the selection’s four length (104) rating for his win in August. Gemma Tutty could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of the 5/2 favourite, who was last beaten 17 1/2 lengths.
