SHOOT TO KILL (8f 1y Hcap) – This Robyn Brisland trained 6yo reached a handicap mark high of (85) last All Weather season, and following a win at Brighton last month, returns to one of his favourite tracks for today’s (3.35) Lingfield. During that spell he managed to finish third behind Listed class Tinker Toy and top handicapper Tadreeb, while recording a (116) speed rating over 7f at today’s venue. A neck beating of Diderot, and a fifth place behind Totally Charming beaten just 1.75L point to a horse very comfortable on the Polytrack at Lingfield. While he has been quiet since on the formbook, he has showed a bit more lately. The last three efforts at both Brighton and Epsom (beaten just 2.75L) indicate that he should be capable of decent efforts back on the Polytrack from a handicap mark of just (74). Finley Marsh takes the ride today, and he wil have to use his skill to get a decent position from stall (9) on the prominent racer. He looks one to keep an eye on going forward, and appears to represent a little bit of value at a double figure price today.
