It looked like she was going to win when hitting the front inside the final furlong, only to be caught on the line by a devastating final two furlong display of (21.99) seconds from Frankie Dettori’s mount. The best performance of the meeting from the Cheveley Park filly.

1pt win Auguste Rodin – The race played out much as the preview had predicted with Mostahdaf not showing his best over the longer distance, and King of Steel leaving his best behind at Ascot. The selection proved himself the real champion over the distance on the day. It was a brave ride from jockey Ryan Moore taking the inside route, and luckily for him a gap opened up on the home turn to quicken into the lead over one and a half furlongs out. Today’s Advice

Feathertop (12F Lstd) – This 3yo filly won her maiden impressively over the extended 9f at Gowran Park recently on Heavy ground recording a (108) speed figure, which should see her competitive with today’s rivals. The daughter of Australia should be suited by a step up in distance for today’s (3.35) Curragh, and the front two in the market Hans Andersen and Helvic Dream may be vulnerable at this moment in time. There is enough in the price to have a speculative interest today.
