Starsoftheclock Thursday 16th November 2023 Selections and Review

Yesterday’s Review

1pt win Little Keilee (96) & 1pt win Hero Of The Hour (95) – A slowly run race which suited the eventual winner, with Little Keilee failing by a short head. It was a decent effort from a wide draw, just 7 days after her previous run. Hero Of The Hour will be suited by a bit more pace going forward, and there should be a little race in him this winter.

1pt e/way Harriet Eagle (92) – A disappointing response from the selection when put under pressure in the home straight. Connections will have a job on their hands finding a race for her now.

Today’s Advice

Silver Bubble (10F Hcap) – This 5yo has been performing below par on the clock this season, and has seen her handicap mark drop accordingly. The Gay Kelleway trained mare races off a mark off (48) for tonight’s (8.30) Chelmsford. Her last victory was gained from a 9lb higher mark in October 2022 at Brighton. All four of her career wins have been achieved on the Turf at Brighton. There were signs last time out, however, that there may be a little win in her on the sand going forward. A career best speed figure of (101) was recorded over C&D when going down by a head to the Mark Hoad trained Crazy Maisie. She is usually slowly away at the start, and will be dropped in behind by jockey Finley Marsh. The pace should be set by favourite Cryptos Dream and Ifitikhaar, with the selection travelling well during the race. It will be a difficult enough task to overhaul the favourite with such little pace on paper, but at the prices on offer she should provide a sporting interest.
