Yesterday’s Review

1pt e/way Valley Of Flowers (98) – A return to form from the selection despite a lack of pace in the race. There looked to be plenty of prominent racers on paper beforehand, but nobody wanted to inject a bit of pace into it. The mare did best of those held up, just failing by a length, and would have gone very close to winning in a more truly run contest. Result 3rd 10/1 adv…14/1 SP.

0.75pt e/way Furnace Creek (99) – A better performance than the market had predicted with the selection gambled on from 40/1 into 18/1. Despite a decent racing position the selection failed by a length to reach the places. He lacked an extra gear approaching the final furlong, and will need to show more going forward on the sand this winter.

1pt e/way Wichahpi (96) – A disappointing performance on the clock from the selection who failed to reproduce her two most recent efforts. Perhaps the race came a bit too soon for her. Thankfully the pricing error was big enough to accommodate each way punters. Result 2nd 8/1 adv….7/2JF SP.
