Fircombe Hall (7f 36y Hcap) – The handicapper has only raised this 5yo one pound to a mark of 48 for today’s (5.30) Wolverhampton following a return to form over 6 furlongs at Chelmsford behind the well handicapped Araifjan. The step up in trip should prove no problem judging by his efforts at Catterick in the summer of 2021. His third place behind Secret To Success from a handicap mark of 61 at this venue in June 2021 would also indicate an ability to act around here. It all points to a well handicapped horse in form, and it will be up to 3lb claimer Andrew Breslin to navigate a decent trip from stall 9.

Blue Hawaii (13f 219y Hcap) – A win over 14 furlongs at Nottingham in May while recording a career best speed figure of (108) would indicate that there should be plenty of fun days ahead for connections of this mare. Two recent places over the extended 12 furlongs at Newcastle have demonstrated her consistency, and everything looks in place for her to put in a decent performance in tonight’s (6.30) Wolverhampton. Dale Swift takes the ride and a kind draw in stall 2 should also help her cause.

City Escape (9f 104y Hcap) – This C&D specialist looks to have improved on Turf this Autumn having won back to back races at Ffos Las, and conditions should be in her favour for tonight’s (8.30) Wolverhampton. A recent fourth behind Tiger Beetle when short of room at the business end of the race showed her wellbeing, and a decent pace from prominent racers Tio Mio and Blue Yonder should enable her to be seen in an even better light.
