Yesterday’s Review

0.75pt e/way Mercurius Power (92) – A below par performance from the selection who raced too keenly off the slow early pace, and made his challenge furthest from the favoured stands side rail. An effort worth putting a line through, although it remains to be seen exactly what level of ability this previously highly rated individual actually retains.

Today’s Advice

Josie’s Kid (5f 21y Hcap) – A career best speed figure of (107) from this likeable five-year-old last time out over C&D was recorded on the clock for which the handicapper has left him unchanged from a handicap mark of 63. This represents the best recent performance on the clock of from tonight’s field for the (8.00) Wolverhampton. A reproduction of that effort should see him go very close. The danger would appear to be the Mick Appleby trained favourite Not Too Real Bad who was slowly away in the same race, and could get much closer following the re-application of the tongue-tie.
