Today’s Advice

Tronido (7f Hcap) – This three-year-old filly won nicely at Lingfield last time out, and despite a 9lb rise in the weights for today’s (5.35) Kempton looks worth a small interest at the prices available this morning. This will be her first attempt at racing right-handed so stakes will have to be kept low. As a front-runner we will be hoping she is allowed her own way out in front again. Lumiere D’Or and Cherry Hill are the ones to keep an eye on for competition for the lead. All things considered there is enough in her price to get involved.

Botas (8f Hcap) – This recent column winner looks to have found a weak enough race in tonight’s (7.10) Kempton to warrant another interest over a course and distance he performs really well at. The handicapper has raised him 4lbs since that win, but he showed last time out at Goodwood that he can still be competitive from this mark. The front two in the market Swift Victory and Spun To Gold don’t look the most solid to rely on at the prices. The more pace from the front runners the better for the selection, and it wll be hoped that Hakuna Babe and first time visored Mr Mistoffelees provide a decent pace to aim at.

Dembe (8f Hcap) – This six-year-old really caught the eye last time out when finishing best over course and distance from the rear to finish runner-up to Stockpyle (who has won again since at Chepstow). He is well handicapped from a mark six pounds below his last winning mark for tonight’s (7.40) Kempton, and should really be winning again soon based on his most recent effort. As a hold-up performer he will be seen at his best when there is plenty of pace on up front. As the pace seems modest if any at all tonight, we can only hope connections have him a bit closer to the pace, and stakes should be kept low enough because of this.
