0.75pt e/way Idyllic (103) – Another step forward on the clock for the selection and the pre-race analysis looked to be going perfectly to plan with the front two in the market along with Manila Mist setting the race up for those in behind. Unfortunately our filly wasn’t strong enough to hold off the back to form winner and the staying on The Colorist. There should be a little race in her going forward. Result 3rd 5/1, 9/2 adv…SP 9/1.

Today’s Advice

City Escape (9f 104y Hcap) – This seven-year-old has been dropping down the weights since her last win in September last year at Ffos Las. There was enough signs of life last time out at Chepstow in an Amateur Jockey’s race to warrant a sporting interest for today’s (3.20) Wolverhampton. On that occasion she was ridden with less restraint than usual making her challenge four furlongs from home before weakening in the final furlong. Cam Hardie takes the ride for today’s restricted rider race, and she may benefit from stronger handling. There looks to be plenty of prominent racers in the field which should give her something to aim at from her usual position at the rear. It could well be that she has simply had enough at the current time, but the prices on offer merit an interest.
