Yesterday’s Review

0.75pts e/way Garifullina (103) – A repeat performance at the weights of her win on the clock eighteen days ago at Thirsk. All the skills that she showed that day were on display again as she travelled, showed a turn of foot and battled for the win at the line. An excellent job by trainer John Davies, jockey Sean Kirrane and connections. Result 1st 6/1, 5/1 adv…16/5F SP.

1pt e/way Rosso (104) -The top speed figure formline that we highlighted from Leopardstown turned out to be the key race once again as Ephesus (106) came home one and a half lengths ahead of the selection. The draw played a key part here as the winner had an uncontested lead from stall three. Ryan Moore’s mount saved ground the whole way, while the runner-up had to use up a lot of energy from a slow start racing wide, and could only make up so much ground it the straight. Result 2nd 5/1 adv…7/2 SP.

0.75pt e/way Showmethewayhome (69) – A slowly run race which did not suit the selection, racing keenly and enduring a wide trip. She soon found herself at the rear of the field in the home straight, and there was no response when asked to close the gap on the leaders. An effort to put a line through, and she will have to show her wellbeing before getting involved again.
