Yesterday’s Review
0.75pt e/way Norwalk Havoc (104) – The first seven home were all drawn on the far side. Our selection won his race on the near side but had no chance the way the course was riding on the day. A pick from both sides may be the way to go in the future.
0.5pt e/way Out On Friday (93) – A poor performance from the selection who was put under pressure a long out from Nahori, and had no response.
0.5pt e/way Nunc Est Bibendum (99) – It looked hard work for the selection who looked like she wanted even further going forward. She managed to hit the frame in her own time, but this was disappointing given the promise from her last effort. Result 3rd 9/1, 17/2 adv..11/2 SP.
0.5pt e/way Three Dons (104) – A solid performance from the selection who was faster than the winner in the final four furlongs of the race. Unfortunately, he needed to be closer to that rival by the four furlong pole, and failed by (0.33secs) to give 10lbs and a (0.89secs) head-start to Melon. Result 2nd 13/2, 6/1 adv…6/1 SP.
Today’s Advice
Dahab (10f Mdn) – This three-year-old gelding holds the top speed figure (103) for today’s (5.30) Curragh having finished runner-up at Navan over the extended ten furlongs twenty two days ago. His profile has been looking nicely progressive so far, and he looks a little overpriced in the market today. He does have a round action, and looks a galloping type. The main opposition appears to have disappointed lately with Dermot Weld reaching for first time blinkers for Daboya. Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore team up with the unraced John Steinbeck who wears the first time blinkers and is badly drawn out in stall sixteen. He has been well found by the market as the second favourite. The ground should be close to Good for today’s contest, and there should be no excuses on that front. A decent draw in stall three should also help his cause, and today’s jockey Joey Sheridan has been on board for his three career performances.
