0.75pt e/way Epidavros (97) – A solid enough performance from the selection to finish in the frame just bumping into two nicely handicapped types. The winner, Sea The Dream (101) appreciated the return to a softer surface, and looks a nice type for connections going forward. Result 3rd 5/1, 9/2 adv…9/2 SP.

0.5pt e/way Emperor Caradoc (91) – A below-par performance from the selection who had to wait for his run entering the home straight and couldn’t find another gear at the business end. A drop back to five furlongs on this type of ground should suit better. The favourite, Altmore (99) made a mockery of his handicap mark of 76, and like his dam Keegsquaw loved the soft going.
