Yesterday’s Review
0.75pt e/way Lunario (98) – The selection weakened enough in the final half furlong to go from third to beaten a nose for fourth. Conditions had deteriorated to Heavy, and this race was run sixty lengths per mile slower than standard. He couldn’t reproduce his two most recent efforts on the clock.
0.5pt e/way Bhean Saibhre (95) – The draw and the step back in trip were against the selection who travelled much better with the first time cheekpieces. Calzaghi (105) looked an improving type, and was on the shortlist for selection, won nicely showing a decent turn of foot for a horse rated just 58.
Today’s Advice
All Agleam (7f Hcap) – This Andrew Balding trained three-year-old filly has shown a liking for this course and distance with two fine runner-up efforts behind Divine Breath in June, and most recently behind Dutch Kingdom from a very wide draw. She is slightly better drawn in stall nine for tonight’s (7.15) Chelmsford with plenty of pace in the race on paper from Rascal Recknell, Bengurion and Dimsons. I will be hoping James Watson can slot into a decent position, and hopefully a reproduction of her most recent effort should see her go close. Connections of the favourite G’Daay switch back to blinkers tonight, and he has also has shown a liking for this course and distance in the past. At the prices I am happy to have a sporting interest in Jason Watson’s mount in the hope that he can find a decent position for her in the race.
