Yesterday’s Review
0.5pt e/way Red Trail (101) – The selection couldn’t find another gear in the home straight from a midfield position in a strongly run race. The first five home finished ahead of the class par, and they should be worth keeping an eye on. It looked like the race may have come too soon for Wesley Joyce’s mount.
Today’s Advice
Bluebells Boy (5f 21y Hcap) – This five-year-old has won twice since selected by this column at Yarmouth in July. The handicapper has put him up six pounds since, but there should be another win in him considering he achieved a Racing Post Rating of 70 early in his career. The drop back to the minimum trip for tonight’s (8.30) Wolverhampton may be a shade sharp for him, but he has placed at this course and distance having met trouble in-running behind Next Second back in July. Prominent racers such as Unavailable, Call Glory and Phoenix Beach should take him into the race, and the excellent Luke Morris should give this smooth traveller every opportunity to find the right gaps. He looks the right price for a sporting interest.
