Yesterday’s Review
0.75pt e/way Bhean Saibhre (93) – Another ride from Wayne Hassett on a hold-up horse on the inside that was denied a clear run at a vital stage of the race. Gambled on from 33/1 into 12/1 she looked like she was going to have a say in the finish in the home straight, but couldn’t find a clear passage. An effort to put a line through. Unlucky again.
Today’s Advice
Cerulean Summer (8f 142y Hcap) – Dylan Cunha has shown since arriving in the UK that he is a trainer to keep on the right side of with horses like Prague, Sensorium, Asgard’s Captain, Mart and Gogo Yubari to mention a few that have shown what he is capable of. It has taken him a while to get things right with the selection, but she has shown in her last two efforts that she is starting to get the hang of this racing game. Her most recent two length victory over Coloane was very taking on the eye, and she showed a turn of foot that one would not normally see in a Class 6 performer. Today’s (4.50) Wolverhampton Hands And Heels Apprentice race is a drop back in trip to the extended mile, and she can be slow from the stalls, so conditions are not ideal. However, with front-runners Harbour Vision and Sir Titan in the race we may get a truly run race which she will need. Competent apprentice Fred Daly takes a valuable five pounds off, and he has shown his talents recently aboard the front-running Marching Mac at Brighton.
Suanni (5f 21y Hcap) – Trainer Darryll Holland has been showing his training talents lately with the likes of Dutch Kingdom and Bluebells Boy putting together some decent winning performances. The selection has shown that he can win from his current handicap mark with a fine runner-up finish behind Maris Angel over this course and distance last month. The winner of that race has gone on to win again since, while the son of Lethal Force was unplaced over the straight five furlongs at Southwell. I am willing to allow him his last run at a track where he has not performed well in the past. The return to today’s venue for the (5.10) Wolverhampton should see him in a better light. David Probert takes the ride, and I am hoping that he tracks the pace in a race where there may be other prominent racers in the line-up. He looks worth a speculative interest as the current market prices stand.
