0.75pt e/way Pilgrim (98) – The softer ground had no affect on the selection who raced prominently before weakening over a furlong from home. He looks a long way from his previous best. The stewards reported that he lost his left-fore shoe during the race.

0.5pt e/way Our Mighty Mo (91) – The suspicion that a third race in twenty eight days on soft going might be one race too many came to fruition. The selection weakened tamely after leading when headed two furlongs out. This was the main reason the stakes were kept low despite the colt appearing to be in great form.
