Bomb Squad (6f 14y Hcap) – This seven-year-old won nicely for us last time out when racing in touch with the leaders at Wolverhampton under Cieren Fallon, and the handicapper has only put him up 3lbs for today’s (5.35) Southwell. Trainer John Mackie has him in a nice place at the moment, and considering he was rated six pounds higher last season there should be plenty of fun with him on the sand going forward this winter. He has a nice effort over course and distance last November behind She’s The Danger when just beaten a head from a five pound higher mark, and he looks worth an interest from a kind draw in stall five today with Cieren on board once again. Favourite Just Ten High made all wearing first time blinkers over course and distance last time out, and it will be interesting to see if the headgear works again on him. Three Beauz ran nicely three days ago at Newcastle over five furlongs beaten a neck by Oriental Prince from the front, and will need to show he can be as effective over today’s distance.
