Basholo (5f 21y Hcap) – I was happy to let this mare go unbacked last time out when stepped up in class to a (0-70) over course and distance after doing us a favour when winning at this venue in early December. It was still a fine effort beaten just four lengths in seventh in a race where the first six home recorded times faster than par. She races off the same handicap mark as last time out for tonight’s (7.30) Wolverhampton, and if she can continue in her recent form she could represent a bit of value. Zak Wheatley takes the ride again, and we will be hoping he can find a nice position from stall six in behind prominent racers Thismydream and So Obsessed. Favourite Gustav Graves is currently well handicapped, but hasn’t been able to find consistency yet this season. The same comments apply to Buraback who has a tricky draw in stall eleven.
