He is usually held up, though, and with not much pace in today’s race, it might be wise to look elsewhere. The selection has been in decent form this year with a win and two places from three races. Last time out over seven furlongs at Kempton he just failed by a neck to give the Stuart Williams trained Enpassant six pounds over a trip that looks on the short side for him now. His win over course and distance from Saturnalia last month may have been only by a neck, but he won cosily going away at the line. Freddie Larson was on board that day, and retains the ride today. He has his own way about going through the race, so Freddie’s recent experience on him will help. Tea Sea looks a live danger having won his last three races, while Paradoxical avoids a penalty for his latest win, and can race prominently in a race where Calanthe looks to be the only front runner.
