Starsoftheclock Sunday 2nd March 2025 Selections And Review

Yesterday’s Review

0.5pt e/way Guns And Glory (95) – The selection couldn’t get to the front, like he did last time out, as the Korean challenger Global Hit (105) enjoyed that advantage. It was one his laboured efforts, and as soon as I saw he couldn’t lead the writing was on the wall. The winner Imperial Emperor (113) came back to something like his best form overcoming a wide draw to take care of this field easily, but would likely be outclassed by the likes of Forever Young and Laurel River in the Dubai World Cup.

0.75pt e/way Horus (96) – I was inclined to think this horse was more outpaced than unlucky last time out at Kempton, and with the first three home racing in the first five positions at the three furlong pole it looked like the race was run to suit the prominent racers. Nevertheless, i will be putting this down as a poor pick from myself as the selection hung left in the straight, and weakened when asked to close down the leaders.

1pt win Back Tomorrow (91) – Archie Young reported that the saddle slipped forward on the selection turning into the home straight. She eventually weakened inside the final furlong, and we will have to put a line through this performance.
