Today’s Advice
GUMMY GUMMY (6f Hcap) – This five-year-old returned to his best last time out over course and distance just failing by a short head to get the better of Self Improvement. He meets that rival on 13lb better terms for today’s (2.50) Sha Tin, as 10lb claimer Brittney Wong has been booked to ride Sing Dragon. The selection is a two-time course and distance winner, and he comes into today’s contest 5lbs lower in the handicap than when beaten a head by Bundle Of Charm in February 2024. His main danger looks to be the favourite Mask Rider who was a half length behind in third the last day when not getting the clearest of runs. It will be interesting to see if he can back that effort up again having flopped second time out when resenting the kickback behind Must Go. A decent draw in stall two should help the selection who has the talents of Hugh Bowman back on board again.
LADY MANZOR (7f Hcap 3yo) – This course and distance winner attempts to win her third race in a row in tonight’s (6.00) Kempton, and judging by her latest victory she looks to have a solid chance. She showed a nice turn of foot when making headway from the rear and coming home a length and a quarter too strong for Invincible Melody last time out. The handicapper has raised her just 4lbs for that effort, and a reproduction of that performance should see her with every chance of giving the favourite McIntosh a race. Seven pound apprentice Jack Dace takes the ride again, and the more pace on up front the better for her, as she will be coming from the rear again from her draw in stall eight.
0.75pt e/way Gummy Gummy (9/2 General) 2.50 Sha Tin
0.75pt e/way Lady Manzor (7/2 General) 6.00 Kempton
Some firms are going four places for individual races and I would advise backers to avail of the extra place for their own bets.
