Starsoftheclock Thursday 26th March 2025 Selections And Review

27th March, 2025 @ 9:22am

Yesterday’s Review

0.75pt e/way Gummy Gummy (106) – A solid effort from the selection who didn’t get the clearest of runs in the straight, but could not be called unlucky. The winner Must Go (109) travelled much better than the last day, and ran on stronger to the line. Result 3rd 9/2 adv…26/5 SP.

0.75pt e/way Lady Manzor (91) – A slowly run race which did not suit the selection who did very well to get up for third place on the line. Result 3rd 7/2 adv…9/2 SP.

Today’s Advice

ECCLESIASTICAL (5f 21y Hcap) – This eight-year-old won very easily last time out over the minimum trip at Lingfield by three and a quarter lengths from Harb, and comes into tonight’s (6.45) Wolverhampton with the best current form. The handicapper has raised him seven pounds for that victory, but he has won off a four pound higher mark when trained in Ireland in the past. He was originally installed as a short enough price, but has drifted due to the strength of the opposition. I wouldn’t be a fan of current favourite El Bufalo, and it is a question of whether horses like Reigning Profit and Invincible Speed can return to their previous best versus a horse who is in great form. There is enough room in the selection’s price for a sporting selection considering he is in such decent form. He likes to race prominently, and we will be hoping Jason Hart can slot in behind the pace from his draw in stall six, and avoid racing too wide.
