BEAUTY INFINITY (6f Hcap) – The (3.50) Happy Valley looks to be an interesting contest with short price favourite King Of Fighters showing more promise lately, but not travelling with ease early doors over this type of distance. He had shown decent form over longer trips when trained in Australia, and it may well be that seven furlongs could be his preferred trip. The selection has been deserted by Brenton Avdulla for the favourite, who looks to have more scope for improvement in the long term. Richard Kingscote takes the ride, having ridden a treble on the dirt recently. The key to his chances will be how well he exits the stalls, as he has shown much better early speed than normal lately when beaten a nose by Romantic Son, and finishing a half a length ahead of Lucky Eight last time out over course and distance. If Richard can get away quickly again from his favourable draw in stall three, he should have every chance at the finish as a lot of his main rivals are drawn out wider. The handicapper has raised him six pounds for his latest win, but he has performed well from a pound lower mark in the past.
