BOWNDER (8f 75y Hcap) – The (3.35) Nottingham looks a decent opportunity for the short priced favourite It’s Only Fun who won smoothly on his seasonal debut when recording a (95) speed figure at Musselburgh following a wind operation. As an unexposed type he could be nicely ahead of the handicapper, but he is back out again quickly and his price doesn’t leave much room for error. The selection has been steadily improving on Racing Post ratings and on the clock since last season’s two victories, one of which came on the turf over the mile at Salisbury. A career best (100) speed figure was recorded last time out over ten furlongs on the polytrack at Lingfield behind War Hawk, and the pair were nicely clear of the third. He has a decent draw in stall four for a horse that can race in touch with the leaders, and jockey Richard Kingscote has been in great form lately fresh off the plane from Hong Kong with winners aboard Gaiety Musical and Partisan Hero.
