0.75pt e/way Sacred Falls (99) – The selection looked to be coming with a very good run down the inside of Animate with a furlong to go. Unfortunately, Sam James was using his stick in his right hand all the way home, and Jason Hart was denied a clear run once again coming home in fourth beaten 2.25 lengths. She can win a race off this mark when things go in her favour. Result 4th 11/2 adv….9/2 SP.

0.5pt e/way Steel Magnolia (91) – Friendless in the market, the selection raced prominently away from the favoured near side rail and only weakened out of contention a furlong from home. There should be a little race in her soon when conditions are in her favour.

Today’s Advice

MY MATE MIKE (7f 1y Hcap) – This five-year-old is a course and distance specialist who seems much more at home on the all-weather than turf with his four career wins coming on sand. The handicapper has raised him three pounds for his recent 7f win at Chelmsford, but judging by his (107) speed figure behind Ashford Hill over course and distance last November there is still plenty of room in him off this mark.

Silvestre De Sousa takes the ride in today’s (4.25) Lingfield, and the selection can make the running or track the pace. With plenty of his rivals coming back from a break, he looks to have a lot in his favour today.
