Starsoftheclock Sunday 26th October 2025 Selections And Review

Yesterday’s Review

0.5pt e/way Duca Di Lucca (92) – With Reddeef being a non-runner that left Mc’ted (100) as the only front-runner, and Alice Bond rode a lovely race from the front. The selection could only have been given as a minimum stakes bet as he lacks a lot of the characteristics of a winning racehorse…

0.5pt e/way Bona Verba (93) – The selection was asked to make up a lot of ground on the wide outside at the wrong time of the race which put paid to her chances. She needs the pace in front of her to collapse to be seen with a chance of winning.

0.75pt e/way Hint Of Humour (105) – Another excellent performance from this filly who repeated her previous winning efforts. Unfortunately, jockey William Carson pushed his way out from behind rivals in the straight which badly hampered Alondra. The stewards saw fit to demote the winner from first place to fourth and suspend her pilot for three days. Luckily, we will still get paid first past the post rules. Result 1st 4/1 adv…10/3 SP.

Today’s Advice

LA ISLA MUJERES (14f Gp3) – This five-year-old mare put up a career best on the clock over 12f at Galway last time out when racing prominently before seeing off a Listed field of contestants by three and a half lengths. Prior to that she stayed on well to the line over two miles at Down Royal behind the improving Goodie Two Shoes who has won a Group 3 race since.

Today’s fourteen furlong trip should be just right for her, and she looks ready for a step up in class judging by her latest (115) timefigure. Her prominent racing style should see her in good stead with possibly just Allonsy setting the pace, and it will be up to Billy Lee to find a decent position (having drawn stall one) hopefully on the outside of the leader.

1pt e/way La Isla Mujeres (10/3 Betvictor, 3/1 Ladbrokes,Coral) 11.26 Saint Cloud
