Starsoftheclock Tuesday 28th October 2025 Selections And Review

Yesterday’s Review

1pt win Sylkie (100) – A disappointing effort from the favourite who slowly grinded her way into fourth and never travelled with any purpose. This was a good few lengths below what was expected.

1pt win San Aer (104) – This seven-year-old would have gone very close to winning but for blowing the start. He got to within a half length of the winner but his exit from the stalls cost him the victory.

0.75pt e/way Down The Glen (95) – The Bellewstown form looked the one to rate strongest and so it proved. The selection once again finished ahead of the favourite and his price at the off was a bit surprising. He was given a fine ride by Donagh O’Connor who found a nice position from stall 12, and he closed down the leading duo in the straight before coming home 3 lengths clear. Result 1st 7/1 adv…17/2 SP.

0.5pt e/way Spycatcher (114) – A difficult race to know what to advise with just one bookmaker having priced it up. The selection looked the one to be on beforehand based on his Curragh effort and so it proved as he cruised through the race before putting 4 1/2 lengths between his nearest rival at the line. Result 1st 7/2 SP adv…

0.5pt e/way Falcon Nine (100) – Another solid performance from this five-year-old who couldn’t trouble the front two from his rear position but ran on nicely at the finish to secure the each way money. There should be another first prize in him soon. Result 3rd 16/1 adv….11/1 SP.
