Today’s Advice

REWARDING BUDDY (6f Hcap) – This lightly raced four-year-old put in a career best (105) timefigure on the clock last time out over course and distance when beaten a short head by Dancing Classics. He raced in midfield on that occasion and had to wait for his run in the home straight before running on well at the finish.

He has drawn stall eight for today’s (1.45) Happy Valley and he will need to be ridden with the same patience again by jockey Derek KC Leung. The favourite Thunder Prince looked unlucky last time out when wearing the first time hood going down by a nose to King Glorioso when not getting the clearest of runs.

At the prices the selection looks worth an interest to continue his improvement.

NIKKI SWANGO (7f Hcap) – This four-year-old filly looked very impressive last week when bolting up by three and a half lengths over course and distance. She has plummetted down the handicap ratings since last season but new trainer Ado McGuinness looks to have her back to her best since acquiring her from John McConnell last month. The handicapper has raised her 11lbs for today’s (3.50) Dundalk but considering she was once rated 24lbs higher than today’s rating there should be plenty more to come.
