0.75pt e/way Rewarding Buddy (101) – It was right to take on the 6/4 favourite Thunder Prince who could manage only third place. Unfortunately, the selection recorded a performance 3 lengths per mile slower at the weights than what he achieved last time out over course and distance. Some of this can be related to his draw in stall eight, as the first four were drawn 1-3-2-4, but he never looked threatening as he came down the outside and it was disappointing that he couldn’t get past a 52/1 chance that hadn’t raced in 154 days.

2pts win Nikki Swango (105) – The selection recorded a career best performance which was 4 lengths per mile faster than what was expected at the weights based on her win last week. She tracked the pace before taking up the running over a furlong from home and had 3 3/4 lengths to spare at the line.

She looks to have another win or two in her still and she looks a fine filly for connections. Result 1st 11/4 adv…11/8f SP.
