Yesterday’s Review
0.75pt e/way Dan Attack (105) – A solid performance from the selection who looked like he was coming to win his race inside the final furlong but found two others too strong near the line. Robot Lucky Star looked the unlucky horse having had a nightmare trip and was flying home at the finish. Result 3rd 11/2 adv…39\10 SP.
Today’s Advice
JEZ BOMB (10f 42y Hcap) – Without Compromise has been installed as the short price favourite for today’s (3.28) Newcastle on the strength of a comfortable win over course and distance in a slowly run race this month. The strength of that performance is difficult to gauge as there was just one race on the round track that day and it doesn’t look worth having him as a short price favourite in my book.
The selection beat the favourite last time out by three quarters of a length and they meet on the same terms today. He looks an improving type for his trainer Sam England and I would have him closer in the betting to the favourite on the strength of that victory.
The opposition looks strong enough as this is a Class 4 contest with Project Geofin looking a worthy second favourite, but plenty of them are having their first run in a while so I am happy to have a small interest in the selection.
