0.5pt e/way Spacetown (95)/ Marsood (97) – It was right to take on the short price favourite who struggled from his wide draw. The winner Six Speed (107) broke from the stalls properly this time and showed that his excellent trial win was no fluke. The former selection had everything in his favour but still managed to perform well below his trial win managing only fifth place. The latter selection ran a remarkable race having blown the start and performed with great credit having stayed on well into third place. Result 3rd 12/1 adv…12/1 SP.

0.5pt e/way Mayana (89) – Again we got the short priced favourite beaten but the filly proved very disappointing. She was restrained behind the leader and took that as a sign for gearing down while losing valuable ground during the race. She eventually plugged on in into seventh place but looks like she has a lot to learn about competitive racing.

0.5pt e/way Frostfire (90) – A remarkable effort from the selection to stay on into third place having been left well behind the leaders during the race. He will struggle round here going forward with little early pace and looks like another step up in trip is needed. Result 3rd 11/1, 9/1 adv…6/1SP.
