1pt e/way Speedy Smartie (109) – You don’t expect to see too many errors in the markets at Hong Kong but it certainly looked like putting Monta Frutta in as favourite from stall 11 was one of them. The selection recorded a career best performance on the clock and exited the gates like a rocket as he can do. He made most of the running and was an eased down 4.75 lengths clear at the finish. He might have just pushed himself out of Class 4 racing with this win. Result 1st 9/2 adv…7/2f SP.
1pt e/way Vulcanus (105) – It was right to be against the odds on favourite who was having his second day at school and there was always a chance we wouldn’t see the same performance as the last day. The selection was given a dream ride from stall 1 by late substitute Maxime Guyon who raced within touching distance of the leaders and ground down the favourite inside the final furlong to win by a half length. The strong market support for the favourite saw the son of Lean Mean Machine drift out to 9/1 at the off. Result 1st 9/2 adv…9/1 SP.
0.5pt e/way double – Result 1st and 1st. (A very nice day for the account with over 25pts profit added)
