BRECKENBROUGH (8f Lstd) – This four-year-old filly was unable to show her best last time out and conditions might not be totally ideal again today. The ground for today’s (3.38) Longchamp is described as Very Soft (3.9) on the penetrometer with a dry day ahead. The selection has shown on a couple of occasions last season that she has plenty of talent and recorded a huge (120) timefigure when taking her maiden at Deauville on a Good to Soft surface. She finished ahead of a few of today’s rivals at Saint Cloud in October while recording a (115) timefigure most notably today’s favourite Anakova who finished in second place.

There does not appear to be much pace on paper today and it will be interesting to see if she has to make her own running as she usually has had a front runner to aim at. With a less than ideal scenario for today’s contest, I will just be having a token selection in the hope that she can leave behind her latest third place finish over 7f at today’s venue.
