Too Much won nicely at Southwell last month over the extended mile and reappears tonight at (7.00) over the same course and distance. The James Horton trained filly travelled strongly throughout that contest before quickening away from her rivals over a furlong from home. The manner of the victory was worth noting and she has only been raised 5lbs by the handicapper for that effort. The Charlie Appleby trained favourite Mountain Song heads the betting and she will no doubt have her followers, despite still being a maiden. There is a possibilty that today’s race might set up nicely for the selection with the favourite, Double March and Scenic all having made the running in the past. With so much in her favour today, I am surprised Too Much isn’t a lot shorter in the betting and she looks the value in the race.
