Yesterday’s Review

1pt e/way I’m Workin On It (104) – The fastest race on the card with the winner Siwa Oasis (112) putting up a career best timefigure just 12 days after doing the same last time out. The selection tracked the leader closely from a good position but faded to ninth—beaten by 7.75 lengths—as soon as he was asked for an effort in the home straight. He is better than this and had an off-day.

1pt e/way Gilet (105) – A slowly run race which would not have suited the selection. He secured a good position in midfield but lacked the acceleration of his less-exposed rivals when asked for an effort in the home straight, ultimately finishing fifth and missing a placing by a half-length. A more strongly run race against weaker opposition should help.
