2pts win Comanche Brave (114) – The selection was slowly away from the stalls and never looked dangerous throughout. He made some headway in the straight but could only manage a dead-heat for 4th place beaten 2.25 lengths by the impressive winner.

1pt e/way Deterministic (116) – A patient ride by jockey Kendrick Carmouch enabled this talented miler to turn the tables on the favourite. The combination tracked the pace on the rail and kicked clear in the straight, at the perfect time, building up a healthy lead. The margin at the line was three quarters of a length, and it was well deserved victory. Result 1st 8/1 adv…101/20 SP.

1pt e/way El Cordobes (113) – The selection travelled well round the inside but found very little room to mount a challenge in the straight. He looked fairly beaten on the night, nevertheless, eventually coming home in 13th place beaten 7.5 lengths.

2pts win Forever Young (114) – A very disappointing performance from the selection who would have devoured this field in his heyday. His pilot obtained the perfect position tracking the leader Knightsbridge (115) but when asked to quicken in the home straight there was no extra gear. The combination weakened into 5th place beaten 3 lengths, and it looks like the many tough battles he has had over the years have left a mark now.
