Yesterday’s Review

1pt e/way Artistic Star – Artistic Star (107) failed to reproduce his Sandown effort on the clock by 5L per mile. The lack of experience and short recovery time since his seasonal debut looked to have played their part. He did stay on in his own pace to manage seventh after losing a nice position during the race.

1.5pts e/way Nivelle’s Magic – The winner Glenister (96) made all the running at his leisure. Tom Queally made use of his draw in stall (2) to get a decent position on the rail. As the winner quickened at the 2f pole, Nivelle’s Magic was in a lovely tracking position in third place and stayed there all the way to the line. She should be seen to better effect in a more truly run race. Result 3rd 20/1 adv…SP 28/1.
