Yesterday’s Review
2pts win Tele Red (90) – A very weak display from the joint favourite who found very little for pressure. I wouldn’t be using the excuse that he was too keen. Maybe he needs a break after having his 4th race in 30 days.
1pt ew Little Trigger (84) – The selection ran 15L per mile slower than his encouraging run at Listowel last time. It couldn’t be said that he was racing too prominently as that didn’t affect Shona Mea. Maybe he needs to be held up to get the best out of him going forward.
0.5pt e/way Skontonovski (98) – A decent enough effort from the selection who kept on well to take third place from the midfield. Result 3rd 9/1, 8/1 adv….SP 14/1
Today’s Advice
Not Too Real Bad (5f Hcap) Thomas Mullins’ filly races off the same mark as when successful over this C/D two runs back in today’s (5.25) Cork. The hold up performer also get’s an extra 5lb taken off her back as apprentice Siobhan Rutledge is on board. The selection didn’t have much luck last time at The Curragh off a slow enough pace and it is hoped that there will be more pace on today. With the likes of Primo Uomo, Sam’s Express, Mount Ruapehu, Curraheen Princess and Running Cool in the line-up there should be enough pace to aim at. Hopefully she can find the gaps in-running tonight to show her true colours.
Wilderness (14f Hcap) Seamus Mullins’ mare races off just a 1lb higher mark in tonight’s (6.40) Goodwood after finding only Bashful Boy too good lto at Salisbury. The prominent racer looks well treated even on a formline with Songo whom she beat last July at Salisbury. The form of her last performance has taken two boosts since with both Bashful Boy and Seal Of Solomon winning since. She looks a little overpriced in the market tonight.
Golden Days (7f Hcap) Mick Halford & Tracey Collins 6-y-o mare gets to race off a 1lb lower mark than when an excellent 4th on her seasonal debut at Roscommon last month for tonight’s (7.45) Cork. She has shown a real liking for this C/D in the past with a win and three places already on the board. With prominent racers Yester, Chica Power and Lady Skipper in tonight’s field she should get a nice pace to aim at. Ronan Whelan takes the ride tonight and he has won on her in the past.
