Yesterday’s Review

1pt e/way Valiant King (108) – A nice performance from the selection who found one too good just beaten a head on the line by Desert Hero. Both horses found trouble in running but the winner won fair and square having to be dropped right out by Tom Marquand from a bad draw in stall (21). Result 2nd 12/1 adv…SP 7/1

1pt e/way Broome (103) – A very disappointing performance from the selection who never looked comfortable during the race. It looked a steady enough run race and perhaps he prefers a stronger pace like he got at Meydan.

1pt e/way Quantum Impact (95) – A disappointing effort from the second favourite who couldn’t reproduce his form on this straight track.

1pt e/way Betterdaysrcoming (95) – Another one who flattered to deceive. Will probably be better back over 7f.

1pt e/way Hey Whatever (96) – A remarkable performance and drift from 7/1 out to 14/1 from the selection who ran 9L per mile slower than the last day at Gowran Park. It will be interesting to see what distance she will prove best at going forward.

1pt e/way Fastman (99) – A huge drop-off on the clock from his last two performances at this track. Backed from 11/2 into 3/1F his form looked solid but perhaps the combination of the shorter distance and the qick enough return to the track in 14 days proved too much.
