Yesterday’s Review

1pt e/way My Little Queens (103) – Another unlucky run from a selection who was travelling best entering the home straight, but the door closed on her as she went for a gap between the front runners Cockalorum and Oneforthegutter. She battled on well for fourth, but looked like she would have gone close to winning. Result 4th 9/1, 8/1 adv...SP 7/1 Rule 4 15c

Today’s Advice

PEACHEY CARNEHAN (6f 12y Hcap) Michael Mullineax’s veteran sprinter sneaks into the (5.05) Windsor (0-55) Handicap from a handicap mark of (53). I wasn’t impressed with the attitude of those at the front of the market, so I went looking and landed on this mainly consistent sprinter who has raised his game on the clock his last few efforts. His last four efforts on Turf have yielded speed figures of (99), (99), (99), (99). I’m willing to allow him his last effort when only 9th from a wide draw in stall (11) at Wolverhampton.

ELOQUENT ARTHUR (9f 125y Hcap) A competitive event on the clock for the (6.45) Ballinrobe, and I will be having a small interest on the Denis Hogan trained son of Sir Prancealot. He has some decent efforts over 9f and 10f last year from marks in the high 70’s, and recorded a (104) speed figure lto at Leopardstown from a bad draw in stall (17) over the mile. He is starting to drop down close to his last winning mark of (70), and it shouldn’t be too long before connections can get him back into the winner’s enclosure.

MUCKY MULCONRY (5f 21y Hcap) This 3-y-o gelding had dropped to a career low handicap mark of (49), and never been placed before the Michael Wigham magic started to work. He has since been placed three times, and won over the minimum trip at Wolverhampton recording a career best speed figure of (103). He looked a little unlucky lto at Yarmouth over 6f under Joe Fanning, just failing to reel in the all the way leader Twayblade by a head. It looked like a more power packed ride may have got the job done, and Tom Marquand should be able to provide that tonight.
