Miss Down Under (10F 43Y Handicap) Amanda Perrett’s game 4-y-o filly drops back to her previous winning distance today in the At The Races App Market Movers Fillies’ Handicap at Doncaster (4.30). The daughter of Australia (GB) also has the cheekpieces re-applied that she wore for her two wins last year. Winning rider that day Rob Hornby is also back on board, and there are a lot of positives for her today. This filly likes to be up with the pace and she even made all the running for that win at Ffos Las, on a similar Good To Soft surface to today’s. On that occasion she beat Marcus Tregoning’s 15/8 favourite Wisper. The favourite looked to be cruising that day and it was only a question of how far she would win. However, Rob Hornby’s mount had other ideas and it was notable how much she loved the battle, before going on to win by 3 1/4 lengths. A career best (104) speed figure was posted on her seasonal debut third at Lingfield over 12 furlongs recently. While there were only three other challengers that day the race was run in a very strong time for the grade. The handicapper has left her on the same handicap mark of (77) and everything looks to be in place for a solid performance. There are a few lightly raced dangers, most notably Kevin Ryan’s filly Invisible Friend who has close form with Listed winner Sharaa, and looked very impressive when winning her Novice by 5 lengths.
