Yesterday’s Review

0.5pt e/way Esculenta (97) was a long way from her form at Gowran Park. Hopefully she can be better placed using her handicap mark to advantage going forward.

1pt e/way May Blossom (101) 5L per mile slower than her excellent effort at Carlisle lto. She never travelled and consistency has never been her strong suit.

0.5pt e/way Court Of Appeal (101) a super piece of training from Noel Hynds to have him spot on following a 475 day absence. Too well handicapped not to get involved and he looked beaten inside the final furlong but 7lb claimer Conor Stone-Walsh fought back to put his head in front on the line. Result 1st 25/1 adv...SP 12/1 (R4 10c)

0.5pt e/way Shining Aitch (100) A shame that Tom McCourt’s likeable grey had to miss out on the win back at the scene of his last great effort. A super effort from jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle and hopefully a winning opprtunity can be found soon. Result 2nd 18/1/16/1 adv…SP 25/1 (R4 10c)

Today’s Advice

Miller Spirit (10f Novice) Still learning his trade and if he can put his head down a bit more tonight in the (6.10) Windsor he should be in the mix for the win.

Carrigillihy (12f 5y Hcap) Unbeaten at this track and still looks well handicapped on the clock off a mark of just (72) for tonight’s (7.00) Pontefract. Hopefully he can settle in behind front runners La Pulga and Matchless and Duran Fentiman can get the best out of him up the home straight. I will also be having a small interest in Glasses Up, a gelding that we have been following since the start of the season. This race is a little bit hotter than I would like him to be entered in, so only a token gesture tonight.

Carp Kid (11f 99y Hcap) Would surely have gone close for us but for blowing the start lto and being rushed up to race prominently at Bath. The handicapper has dropped him 1lb after that effort. Still 2lbs below his last winning mark of (67) and surprisingly available at a double figure price for tonight’s (8.40) Windsor.

Hi Clare (8f 6y Hcap) Put in the best figure on the clock (103) of tonight’s contenders under a big weight on her seasonal debut at Hamilton lto. Hopefully she can get an uncontested lead tonight and stay there all the way to the line.
