Yesterday’s Review

0.75pt e/way Picpoul (93) – Not the Picpoul from the last two starts, unfortunately. Perhaps she did need the run after forty two days away from the track. She did receive a hefty bump in the home straight, but the response following it was laboured.

1pt e/way Arbaawi (96) – Very little went right for the selection during the race with the draw in stall one proving a negative for his style of racing. After finding himself with a lot of work to do, James Ryan decided to track Chummie into the straight (who was coming back to the track following an eighty two day break). Unfortunately, this horse weakened badly in front of Arbaawi before the final furlong. This in turn, hampered the selection, who then lost momentum at a vital stage. A performance to put a line through.
