Yesterday’s Review
0.5pt e/way Twilight Guest (106) – A strong race on the clock for the grade with the winner Elshaameq (107) coming home 6 lengths per mile faster than Par carrying 15lbs extra. The selection put up a decent performance despite not getting the clearest run through, although looked a little wayward under pressure. Result 4th 12/1 adv…8/1 SP
Today’s advice
Shining Aitch (10f 150y Hcap) – This Tom McCourt trained gelding is a column favourite having found only Court Of Appeal too good at Navan in June, and races off the same mark in tonight’s (7.15) Dundalk. As a hold up horse he is best seen when there is a bit of pace on up front. In a slowly run race when last seen over this C&D in August he still managed to make the frame from a 3lb higher mark. James Ryan takes another 2lbs off tonight, and any type of pace will enhance his claims. He looks worth keeping an eye on for one of these (47-65) contests over the winter, especially at a double figure price.
