Today’s Advice
FIRE EYES (8f Hcap) – This seven-year-old mare put her head in front on the line at Redcar on Tuesday and considering she hasn’t been out of the first four in her last nine races she looks well worth a sporting interest for today’s (5.30) Newcastle. The favourite Bowood will be a tough nut to crack as he is two pounds well in at the weights for his recent course and distance victory, but we know he can be difficult to catch right from past races.
The selection is unpenalised for her latest win and she has been rated much higher in the past when trained by George Boughey. Roger Fell looks to have her in a nice place at the moment, and her second place finish over course and distance behind Greenlightforgo back in June reads well for today’s contest.
As a hold up performer we will be looking for a true test from prominent racers Joseph and It’s A Love Thing. On a quiet day she looked worth a small interest to run her race once again providing she can handle the quick turnaround.
