Yesterday’s Review
0.75pt win White Mist (96) – A fine effort from the selection who showed a nice turn of foot from the rear in a race that was not run to suit the hold up horses. Araifjan and Dulcet Spirit dictated a slow pace which had most in behind racing keen. It showed the winner’s wellbeing that she was able to get up on the line to head the longtime leader. Result 1st 4/1 adv…9/2 SP.
0.75pt win Due Date (90) – A tame effort from the selection who has been very busy lately, and may need a longer break to freshen up.
Today’s Advice
Riot (8F 1y Hcap) – This seven-year-old has shown great consistency this all-weather season for David O’Meara recording two wins and four places from nine efforts. As a hold-up performer things always need to fall right for him, and he can usually be seeing flying home late over 7f. Today’s (1.47) Lingfield represents a step up in trip, and with his running style it may be worth exploring. It looks best to ignore his recent effort over the mile at Chelmsford where he didn’t get a clear run through. He has placed form from a handicap mark of 93 in the past, so could still be nicely treated off 83. He looks to represent a bit of value today with Rossa Ryan on board, and prominent racers Larado and Borgi in today’s field.
