Today’s Advice
CHIFA (7f Hcap) – The (7.30) Wolvehampton has a couple near the front of the market with questions to answer. The favourite Star Of Mali hasn’t been seen in two months since disappointing at Southwell behind Shiplake back in November. He won nicely at the same venue a month previously and is on a recovery mission at the moment. Ash Wednesday hasn’t been seen in 178 days and can race keenly so we can see the dangers with selecting this five-year-old.
The selection won very nicely by 2.25 lengths two runs back over course and distance when recording a (108) timefigure indicating that he was nicely treated off a mark in the low 60’s. He wasn’t as impressive on the sectional times last time out following almost five weeks off the track when taking a (0-70) by a length but his attitude was very likeable in getting the job done. He might find this grade a bit more difficult from his new mark but with question marks on a few of his rivals and his excellent record over tonight’s course and distance I was happy to have a small interest.
