TONAL (8f Hcap) – The selection has drifted slightly from his position as second favourite for the (2.27) Kempton and he looks a little overpriced considering he is looking to complete a hat-trick of wins having won well at Chelmsford and Southwell back in October. The handicapper has raised him six pounds for his latest win by a length from Marry The Night at Southwell. It might look like he has reached his peak judging by past handicap ratings but his performances on the clock in the past have indicated that this mark (particularly with apprentice Ryan Kavanagh’s five pound claim taken into consideration) still makes him a danger to all.

There is the question of course form and will he be as effective going right handed but he travelled well enough when last seen at Carlisle despite not showing his best at the finish.

Dangers include favourite Foreseen (who has some solid course form but has tightened up in the betting) and Studious who was initially put in as a very short favourite following a decent victory at Newcastle.
