Yesterday’s Review

1pt e/way Ponntos (105) – The selection didn’t exit the starting stalls ideally, and went off overly fast in front. Luckily he managed to cling on for third at the finish. Result 3rd 17/2 adv…51/10 SP.

1pt e/way Camille Pissarro (120) – A very strong performance on the clock from the selection thanks to a fast pace set by the front-runners. The French 2000 Guineas third was given a superb ride from jockey Ryan Moore who found a gap down the inside in the home straight, and showed enough class to come home a half length clear. This opens up a lot more options for the colt, and he could become an important stallion for Coolmore in the future having won Group1 races from 7f to 10f. Result 1st 10/3 adv…12/5F SP.

1pt e/way Elegant Erin (99) – A solid enough performance from the selection who found the concession of nine pounds to the winner too much. The first two home found cover behind the two front runners Angel Shared and Grace Angel who both finished unplaced. Result 2nd 5/1 adv…7/2 SP.

Plenty of racing on today, but nothing strong enough for me to get involved.
