Yesterday’s Review
1pt win Farren Glory (86) – A below par effort from the selection who was reported to have bled from the nose by the vet post race. A lesson to be learned by all punters that previous form should be ignored following a bad fall, despite connections insistence that the horse is fine.
1pt e/way Mercurius Power (89) – One of the more slowly run races on the card which didn’t suit the selection, who ran a very decent race to make the frame. Result 3rd 11/2 adv...5/1 SP
0.5pt e/way Nelson Gay (99) – As was mentioned in the write-up the key piece of form on the clock looked to be the Pepsi Cat race from the 19th January. The selection was made with the presence of front runner Night On Earth in the race, who was a very important non runner, as it was hoped he could put more pace in the race for the hold up horses. As it turned out Moon Flight (104) ran a remarkable race, missing the break and still coming home ahead of Nelson Gay (who was too keen early on in the race, and flatters to deceive too often).
1pt e/way Secret Daay (96) – A poor performance from the selection who no doubt found a fourth race in 27 days too much for him. His four previous speed figures over C&D since October read (103), (102), (104), (105). Connections will need to freshen him up, and get him back to his previous best.
